Is my child's data safe?
We collect only a nickname, birth year, learning conversations and usage time — never an address, school or photos. No ads, and data is never sold. Parents can review or delete everything, anytime.
Will my child just copy answers?
No. Coaches teach by guiding: they ask what your child has tried, then walk through it step by step — never handing over the full answer. Research shows that's what actually builds learning.
How does pricing work?
Signing up is free. Usage runs on transparent learning Credits: enrolled students receive a weekly allowance automatically, and parents can top up. There is never an automatic charge.
Who is it for?
Built for school-age learners, with child-safety protections at the core. Under-13s must be registered by a parent with informed consent; older children can sign up themselves with a parent's email on file.
How is OpenKids AI different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a blank box for adults; OpenKids AI is a school. Your child picks a subject coach who teaches by guiding, every message passes seven safety layers in both directions, and parents get reports and controls. General chatbots have none of that.
Can it replace my child's tuition centre?
For day-to-day subject help, yes: 30+ coaches cover the whole school day, answer the moment a question appears, and cost a fraction of one centre's monthly fee. What we don't replace is great human mentors — we replace the queue, the commute and the cost.
What can parents see and control?
Parents see learning summaries — what was studied, what improved — plus any safety alerts, in a live dashboard and a weekly report. You can set daily time limits, quiet hours and pause the account anytime. We show you the learning, not a surveillance feed.
What happens if my child types something worrying?
A dedicated crisis safety net responds first — with fixed, human-written guidance and local helplines, never AI-improvised text — and parents are alerted immediately. This layer runs before any AI model touches the message.

All of them. Eleven school-syllabus coaches (maths, English, Chinese, the sciences, humanities and economics) plus coding, robotics, AI literacy, design thinking, art, music, drama, writing, debate, public speaking, entrepreneurship, exam prep, study skills, sports, financial literacy and emotional skills — 30+ coaches across 6 academies.
Does it work in Chinese?
Yes. The whole product is bilingual — switch to 中文 anytime — and there's a dedicated Chinese Coach for 作文, reading and oral practice. More languages are planned.
A note from our founder
I started OpenKids AI after watching the same scene repeat at our academy in Singapore: it's 9pm, a child is stuck on homework, the parents are exhausted, and the tuition centre closed hours ago. The technology that could help finally exists — but handed to children raw, it teaches them to copy, not to think. So we built the version I would trust with my own students: coaches that make children do the thinking, wrapped in seven layers of safety.
